In 1970, a regally bred chestnut colt sired by Bold Ruler out of the mare Somethingroyal carried great expectations from the moment he was born... and for good reason. Horsemen and students of racing all agree that the great ones have that special quality. Some call it "The Look of Eagles" and the muscular chestnut foal with the three white socks fit the part. The world would come to know him as the legendary Secretariat.
