![]() In the early '70s, Steve Haskin, while working for the Daily Racing Form, had a premier seat for history in the making. Not only was he getting the personal stories he would later share in his entertaining writing, he was also capturing this amazing time on film in a series of candid photographs of Secretariat and the Meadow Stable team. In a career that has spanned nearly fifty years, Haskin has seen numerous races, interviewed several teams and met a number of equine stars, and the Secretariat story remains one of his favorites. Today, as a renowned author and journalist for The Blood-Horse, Steve often reminisces about the 1973 Triple Crown campaign and its impact on the sport. We are proud to exclusively offer this collection of photos, each printed from the original negative on archival photo stock and hand-signed by Mr. Haskin himself. These cherished images featuring Secretariat, Riva Ridge, Ron Turcotte, Charlie Davis, Eddie Sweat, and other turf champions capture racing's finest in a variety of intimate settings, offering an insider's glimpse into racing history. |
