Jaime Corum is an equine artist from Louisville, Kentucky. She studied art as an undergraduate at Bellarmine University and received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Kentucky. Building a popular reputation for her richly detailed large scale equine portraits, Corum has featured Secretariat in several paintings, including a massive work entitled "Tremendous Machine" and is also widely recognized as the official artist for the annual Secretariat "Vox Populi" Award print.
Jaime’s equine art is inspired by her own experience with horses. Her horse, Chesapeake, is her chief source of inspiration (and toughest critic). Jaime considers herself lucky to have been born in Kentucky "because the Bluegrass State truly is horse heaven on earth."
